Sitting MlA and former Haryana transport minister, OP Jain went through a polygraph test on Tuesday in the two-year-old sensational murder case of a former sarpanch Karam Singh of a Karnal village.

Karam Singh, 58, was found dead a day after he had lodged a complaint against Jain and another MlA Zile Ram Sharma for allegedly duping him and his relatives of Rs12 lakh with the promise of providing Government jobs to Singh’s kin.

Then transport Minister, Jain and chief parliamentary secretary, Sharma had to resign from their posts in 2011 following allegations of their involvement in the murder case.

Jain as well Sharma have been denying their role in the murder. In 2012, CBI had lodged an FIR against both MlAs in the case.

The lie detector test of Jain was conducted in New Delhi in the laboratory of the CBI.

During investigation, officials asked Jain around 125 questions and some of them were asked repeatedly to reach a conclusion during the three-hour long examination.

Family of the deceased ex-sarpanch Karam Singh has been alleging that Jain and Sharma were instrumental in the murder of former village headman.
