Following cases of immigration fraud, Haryana Minister of State for labour and Employment Nayab Singh on Tuesday said only the overseas placement agencies registered with the State Government would be authorised to send youth abroad on student visa or for employment.
Besides, strict action would be taken against agencies that cheat youth on the pretext of sending them abroad, said the Minister, while presiding over a review meeting of Haryana Overseas Placement Assistance Society here.
He said this decision had been taken to curb the practice of sending youth abroad through illegal means.
