About 1,000 police personnel serving in different police stations in Haryana will undergo a one-day training programme for online vetting systems.

The office of Haryana Advocate General, in collaboration with Police Department, will conduct one-day training programme on E-Notices, E-Diary and E-vetting or online vetting systems for police personnel, said Deputy Advocate General, Himmat Singh, who is also the nodal officer of IT Department.

He said that resource persons of Advocate General office would impart training about these online systems to atleast three or four police personnel from each police station particularly to those who were dealing with investigation of cases. The training programme would be held at Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, Karnal on April 27.

The training to be imparted to the police personnel would help in making them well-versed with the new IT initiatives recently launched by the Advocate General office which resulted in saving time, travel, money and manpower, said he.

Notably, the office of Advocate General, Haryana had recently introduced online software “E-Vetting” in entire Police Department for e-vetting of replies to be filed in the Court. The Civil Secretariat and other departments would be included in a phased manner later on, he added.

In the first phase, it has been implemented in the Police Department. There are about 40,000 cases of the Police Department in the court.

“E-Vetting” system had been designed to facilitate concerned officials to get their reply or affidavit filed on time without any delay through online process.

The new system is expected to save about Rs 1 crore every year as over 21,000 police personnel would not have to make visits of the AG office for getting replies

vetted.
