Demanding probe into drug menace in Punjab and resignation of BJP ministers involved in corruption, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on Tuesday staged protest against the Punjab Government in Chandigarh.The NSUI was also protesting against the Badal Government’s alleged support to the mischievous elements in Students’ Organisation of India (SOI).
They alleged that due to political pressure, no action has so far been taken against the SOI chief Vikramjeet Singh after he was caught cheating in llB exam. Just as the NSUI workers started protest march from Sector-15 Punjab Congress Bhawan towards Punjab Chief Minister’s residence, the Police used water cannons to disperse them detained many.
