The decision was announced at Badal village by Jai Singh, president NREGA workers union in the presence of Shiromani Akali Dal president and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal.Jai Singh called upon the NREGA workers to support SAD-BJP candidates in order to teach a historic lesson to anti-poor Congress party in the lok Sabha elections. He said that Sukhbir Singh Badal has promised him that NDA would end this discrimination besides fulfilling other demands of the union. He added that NDA Government would be beneficial for NREGA workers as SAD-BJP alliance was known for adopting pro-poor policies besides keeping all the promises alliance has made with the people. Sukhbir Singh Badal assured Jai Singh that once elected to power, NDA would immediately end UPA’s discrimination with Punjab NREGA workers. He studied the demands letter of Union and promised that NDA would meet all the due demands of the union. He reiterated that rolling back all anti Punjab decisions of Congress-led UPA Government was on the priority list of NDA.
