Punjab Government on Sunday announced that all those allottees of immoveable properties, including plots, houses, etc, by the Government or a public sector undertaking or local bodies can get their first conveyance deeds registered at rates mentioned in their allotment letters. Earlier, the allottees were required to get conveyance deed executed on collector rate that was linked to present market rate of property.
Now, the new decision to register deeds on allotment rate is expected to benefit a large number of allottees to the tune of crores. After considering the demand of allotees, a decision has been taken by the Chief Minister Parkash Sigh Badal and on his directions, required notification in this regard has been issued by the state Revenue department,” said the State Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia.
He said that this benefit was being extended at the time of execution of first conveyance deed of such property to all those allottees, who have taken the possession of their properties after depositing their all instalments. Majithia clarified that this concession has been extended for only two months, that is between April 8 to June 7, 2015. Categorically stating that there would be no extension in this regard, Majithia urged all such allotees to get registered first conveyance deed of their properties.
