Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar on Sunday said that now FIR could be registered at any police station but the proceedings already going on would be initiated and completed only by the concerned police station.
Speaking after redressing the grievances of people in Rewari, he said that all issues faced by the people would be addressed and their problems would be solved by concerned officials. The Chief Minister heard the complaints of thousands of people during the day.
He said that those registering their complaints through internet would immediately get an SMS on their mobile on the action taken on the complaint. The Citizen Charter service would be fully implemented to maintain the relationship of trust and faith between public and the government, added the Chief Minister.
Khattar also emphasised the need to improve administrative and police system in the state. “Anybody could give suggestions to improve their functioning and the State Government would implement good suggestions,” said he while earlier addressing the officers of District Administration in Rewari.
He said that with a view to check corruption, we all would have to do away with the tendency to amass wealth. He said that the State Government has been suffering an annual loss of `6,000 crore due to theft of power. With a view to eliminate corruption, we would have to evolve a foolproof system,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that it had been decided to pay old-age allowance, widow and handicapped pension to pay the beneficiaries directly through their bank account from January 1, 2015.
He directed the officers to get the bank accounts of these beneficiaries in the bank branches within their villages or nearby areas. This would benefit the genuine beneficiary. He added that under the Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojana, the bank accounts of such beneficiaries could be opened with zero balance.
He also exhorted the officers to ensure that the benefit of welfare schemes being implemented by the Central and State governments must percolate to the grass root level. Khattar also asked the officers to keep the people informed of the various schemes being implemented by the state and Central governments.
