Reacting to a media query regarding allegations levelled by BJP MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sukhbir said that it was an open fact that there was nothing to hide regarding the development projects and amounts released for them.
“Various projects are in advanced stage of completion. During the last six years tenure of SAD-BJP government, maximum grants have been released to Amritsar for development works,” said Sukhbir. On Sidhu’s demand for ‘judicial probe on release of funds’, Deputy Chief Minister said that departments, about which the MP had objections were being handled by BJP ministers.
“It is an internal issue of BJP. If Sidhu has any complaint and objection with Shiromani Akali Dal, he can sit with me any time, at either breakfast, lunch or dinner. I can also go to meet him in case he extends such an invitation,” said Sukhbir, who is also the president of Shiromani Akali Dal.
