A local court here on Tuesday issued non-bailable warrant against BJP MP from Kurukshetra Raj Kumar Saini in a case of ‘promoting enmity’ between different groups.
The court of judicial magistrate first class (JMIC), Kurukshetra has passed these orders after the MP refused to respond several court notices asking him to appear before the court.
Despite several summons issued by the court to ensure his presence, the MP did not appear before the court on Tuesday. After recording the statements of the staff which had visited Saini's residence to serve him summoning orders, JMIC issued non-baillable warrant against him to secure his presence on the next date.
The next date of hearing has been fixed for August 6.
In May last year, senior INlD leader and president of the women wing of Sarv Jatiya Sarv Khap Mahapanchayat Santosh Dahiya had filed a case against Saini. The Kurukshetra MP was accused of repeatedly issuing public statements that allegedly created tension in society.
According to the complainant, Raj Kumar Saini has been giving statements after statements creating tension between the communities and his sole aim is to put all other communities against Jats in Haryana.
The complainant has asserted that after electing as MP, Raj Kumar Saini had taken the oath to protect the constitution of India and the integrity and sovereignty of the country but he has disregarded the oath by creating hatred atmosphere against Jat community in the State.
