Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in the state saying election would be held in Haryana at the fixed time.
"An atmosphere is being created to hold Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections simultaneously across the country, for this all political parties would have to give their views and pass a bill in the House. As far as Haryana is concerned, elections would be held on their fixed time and if this is done by Central Election Commission then the state government is ready for simultaneous elections," he said.
Replying to a question during a news conference, the chief minister said that in 2024, there can be possibility of conducting simultaneous general elections in the country.
