Taking a dig at Congress, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday said that after the counting on May 23, the main opposition party will start blaming the EVMs for their defeat.
The Chief Minister, while addressing a Jan Ashirwad Rally at Narwana in the district, said that in Haryana as also in the entire country the wind is blowing in favour of the BJP.
The party cadres only have to encash the atmosphere and to ensure that the support is converted into votes in Haryana on May 12 when the voting for the 10 Lok Sabha seats will take place, he added.
He said on doubts being raised on the EVMs by the opposition parties, the Election Commission had called various parties, but the Congress avoided it. They raise the EVM faulty issue only when they lose but when they win the same EVMs, are trustworthy, he added.
The fault is not in the EVMs but in the mindset of the Congress only when they lose, he said adding that the main opposition party didn’t question or doubt the EVMs when they won in three states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
He said that the Congress is running a Radio Jhoothistan (falsehood) questioning the EVMs but their house itself is that of falsehood.
Referring to the Pulwama attack on a CRPF convoy in which 40 jawans were martyred, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a free hand to the defence forces after which the air strike in Balakote targeting the base of the terrorists took place.
But after the air strike the opposition, including the Congress, started asking for proof saying there was no air strike, the Chief Minister said adding that they also wanted proof of the number of terrorists killed.
He called upon the people to question the Congress leaders and ask for details about their past. The people today are intelligent, he said adding that they can distinguish between correct and falsehood.
Manohar Lal said that during the current election nationalism and integrity are the main issues before the electorate.
