Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress Government in Haryana will face ‘IAS Khemka’ issue in the upcoming State Assembly session as Indian National lok Dal (INlD) has decided to raise the issue on priority in the session which will begin in February.
The INlD has called a meeting of all its MlAs on January 22 in Narwana to discuss all issues including of IAS Ashok Khemka, misuse of change land use, law and order problem across the State besides other issues related to electricity and drinking water in the state.
“Khemka’s issue is a big concern and it would certainly be on our priority list”, said Ashok Arora, state president of INlD.
When whistleblower Khemka had cancelled the mutation of land deal between Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra and realty giant DlF in October 2012, it was INlD, principle Opposition party in Haryana, which took the issue in public at large-scale across the state and
opposed Hooda Government. Thereafter, verdict on JBT scam case came, in which INlD chief Om Prakash Chautala, his MlA son Ajay Chautala and 53 others had to go behind bars.
Two chargesheets have already been filed against the 1991-batch senior IAS officer Khemka — one for administrative misconduct in canceling the mutation and the other for low sale of wheat seeds during his tenure in the Haryana Seeds Development Corporation (HSDC). Besides this, Khemka would also face another enquiry by CBI for allotment of work to an Ahmedabad based company for installation of galvalume roofing sheets on warehouses during his tenure as Managing Director, Haryana State Warehousing Corporation in 2009. Khemka has been transferred over 45 times in his career so far.
“The INlD legislatures had already took Vadra-DlF issue in the assembly session last year and had demanded a thorough probe from the sitting judge of either Punjab and Haryana High Court or Apex Court and will also demand the same in upcoming Assembly session,” said Arora
