Coming down heavily on the Punjab Government for its failure to implement Scheduled Castes Sub Plan, the National Scheduled Castes’ Commission on Monday asked the State authorities to present an action taken report within three months. Punjab Government has already set up a sub-committee for the implementation of SC sub-plan. The State Government was represented by NS Kang, principal secretary, finance, DP Reddy, principal secretary, welfare Anurag Aggarwal, secretary, Planning, Jaspal Singh and joint secretary, SC sub-plan Chaman lal. Taking serious note of the non-serious attitude of Punjab Government towards the implementation of various welfare schemes meant for the State scheduled castes, the NSCC had ordered the State Government with its implementation report.
