A national-level conference of women Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of legislative Assemblies (MlAs) would be organised under the aegis of Indian Parliamentary Group in New Delhi on March 5 and 6. A meeting of women MlAs of Haryana was held in this regard, said Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kanwar Pal and Deputy Speaker Santosh Yadav.
The Speaker said that this conference on the topic of ‘Women legislators: Building Resurgent India’ would be the first of its kind.He said that the conference would bring together women members of lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, besides MlAs to deliberate on policies of national welfare. Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament and Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, would also participate in this conference.
