Haryana Government has constituted a five-member State level Selection Committee under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department for recommending applications to the Government of India for conferring National Awards to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the State in different categories. An official spokesman said that the committee would include as members Director, Industries and Commerce Department, President, laghu Udyog Bharti, Haryana Region, and President, MSME Chamber of Commerce, Sonipat. Director, MSME-Development Institute, Karnal would serve as convener of the committee. The committee would scrutinise the applications received in the State based on the criterion prescribed by the Government of India and make recommendations. The eligibility and periodicity would be as per the guidelines of the Government of India laid down from time to time.
The categories of awards to be conferred include outstanding efforts in entrepreneurship in manufacturing, outstanding efforts in entrepreneurship in services, quality products, products or process innovation efforts, lean manufacturing technology and export award.
