Two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) were signed on Friday in the presence of Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar regarding solid waste management for the Gurugram-Faridabad Cluster and Sonipat Cluster.
These MoUs were signed during a meeting held under the chairmanship of Naidu to review various schemes of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information and Broadcasting here.
The Gurugram-Faridabad Cluster would include Gurugram and Faridabad town, Sonipat Cluster would include Sonipat, Panipat, Samalkha and Ganaur towns.
later, Naidu and Manohar lal presented certificates to ten Open Defecation Free (ODF) cities. These included Thanesar, Shahbad, ladwa and Pehowa of district Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Mandi Dabwali, Ellenabad, Rania and Kalanwali of district Sirsa and Panipat.
