More Cong leaders seek Jagmeet's expulsion

A day after Senior Congress leader Jagmeet Singh Brar dared the party to expel him, if his expulsion can bring something good for the party, several senior Congress leaders and legislators on Sunday sought his expulsion for gross indiscipline and rebellious activities which have been harming the party’s interest in the State.

In an appeal to the party high command, the leaders said, Brar had embarked upon a dangerous and destructive path to sabotage the party’s ongoing campaign in the State. “Jagmeet Brar must be expelled at the earliest”, the party leaders demanded.

The leaders who signed the appeal to the high command for Brar’s expulsion, include, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, laal Singh, Ashwani Sekhri, Kuljit Nagra, Raja Warring, Brahm Mohindra, Preneet Kaur, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Jagmohan Singh Kang, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Rana Gurjeet Singh, Kewal Dhillon among others.

“The sooner he is expelled from the party, the better it will be”, the leaders said in an appeal to the party high command. They expressed surprise as how such a leader could be tolerated in the party when he was indulging in open defiance with obvious intent to undermine the party’s interests and prospects in the State.

“Not that he holds any influence or carries any weight, but he is only playing into the hands of the Opposition parties to undermine the Congress interests”, they said, while adding, he should not have been taken back at the first instance as he had already been rejected by both the BJP as well as the Aam Aadmi Party.
