The monsoon session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha will begin on August 17 and is likely to continue till August 21.
“Haryana Vidhan Sabha has been summoned to meet in the hall of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Vidhan Bhawan, Sector 1 at 2 pm on August 17,” said an official spokesman.
The monsoon session is likely to be a stormy affair with opposition parties INlD and Congress set to corner the ruling BJP led State Government on issues including Jat reservation, regularization of contractual employees, construction of Sutlej Yamuna link canal, deteriorating law and order situation, implementation of Swaminathan report among other issues. Haryana’s principal opposition party, INlD has already announced that the party will not allow the State Assembly to function on the issue of non-completion of SYl canal.
On the other hand, the state employees’ unions have also announced to gherao the State Assembly over the issue of regularization of contractual employees. The employees unions are demanding regularization of contractual employees following the High Court’s order setting aside regularization polices of 2014.
