The Moga molestation case is all set to rock to the Parliament on Tuesday with both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announcing to take up the issue aggressively.
While the Congress Deputy leader in the lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh has decided to move an “adjournment motion” to discuss the “collapse of law and order in Punjab”, AAP MP from Sangrur Bhagwant Mann has also decided to raise his voice over the incident.
Punjab’s former Chief Minister, after returning from Moga and meeting the victim’s parents, said that he will also be seeking time from the President Pranab Mukherjee to lead a Congress delegation to him seeking dismissal of the Badal government and imposition of the President's rule in Punjab at the earliest. Both the parties have already demanded imposition of President’s Rule in the state.
He said that the law and order situation had totally collapsed in Punjab and there was an atmosphere of lawlessness, fear and insecurity prevailing everywhere in the state. “The government has abdicated all it authority,” he added.
