The Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi sought feedback on Chandigarh’s political scenario in the wake of forthcoming lok Sabha Elections-2014 during a meeting with Chandigarh party unit president, Sanjay Tandon on Sunday at city airport.

Modi on Sunday had stopped for a while at Chandigarh airport from where he had to go to Sujanpur town of Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh to address ‘Parivartan Rally’

A spokesperson of the party said, “During the meeting, Sanjay Tandon apprised Modi about the success of ongoing campaign ‘Ek Note, Kamal Par Vote’ where people are getting connected with party’s vision.”

Providing more information to Modi, Tandon said, “The campaign has been receiving an overwhelming response and we have been focusing on booth level where we are touching every household. We had gone to the transport area of Sector 26 where we got a chance to meet a lot Kashmiris who not only donated but confirmed their support to Modi’s vision”.

He also invited Modi to visit Chandigarh soon and Modi has accepted his invitation, said a spokesperson of the party. Panchayat Samiti’s Chairman, Shingara Singh showed the boxes being used for the ‘Ek Note, Kamal Par Vote’ campaign.

Shedding light on upcoming tech savvy campaign ‘Missed Call’, Tandon said, “We will launch a toll free number shortly to connect with volunteers in Chandigarh. We will set up a call centre where people just have to give a missed call on the given number. After his or her number gets registered, the caller will receive an automated message of ‘Thanks’. Then the volunteer will approach the person and will provide a kit which will apprise him about Modi’s vision and party’s mission of securing 272 plus seats in upcoming lok Sabha elections. Every ‘missed  call’ will confirm support to the BJP’s ideology”.

Apart from this Narendra Modi was also told about people’s experiences on ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ campaign. Tandon informed Modi that tea vendors of the city had confirmed their full support and people too shared their ideas on politics over a cup of tea.
