Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday asserted that BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's upcoming rally would “change the political landscape”, and prove to be the death knell for the Congress.
After taking stock of preparations for the 'Fateh rally' to be held on February 23 at Jagraon in ludhiana district, said that “an unprecedented crowd will turn up at Jagraon next Sunday to hear Modi”. Accompanied by Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia, he claimed the rally would go down in history as the largest in the State. “There would be profound change in the political scenario of India after the rally,” he said. Claiming that the people were desperate to get rid of the “world's most corrupt” Government, Sukhbir said that the BJP-led NDA would come to power after the next elections.
