Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inquired about the losses caused by heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh through telephonic conversation with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Thakur apprised the Prime Minister that due to heavy rains, the state had faced loss of Rs. 1250 crore approximately. The Prime Minister assured Himachal Pradesh for all possible assistance by the Central Government. The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister for this benevolence.
The CM also thanked the Prime Minister for providing three Army helicopters for the rescue of people stranded in far-flung areas of the state due to heavy snowfall and rain.
