A sudden search operation was conducted at Faridkot Central Modern jail on Sunday keeping in view the usage of mobile phones by inmates.
Operation was conducted by 300 police officials under the leadership of Faridkot Senior Superintendent of Police Nanak Singh and SP (I) Seva Singh Malli.
It was informed that search operation was conducted on the directions of District Police chief.
Two mobile phones have been recovered from a prisoner, Manpreet Singh, during operation and action will be taken against him. No other objectionable article was found, said officials.
