The failure of the Government in implementing demonetisation has cost dozens of life and now the BJP leaders are shying away from taking responsibility of this failure, Himachal Congress president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said on Monday. Addressing a public meeting at Theog under Congress' 'Panchayat Anek, Vikas Anek' program, Sukhu said that demonetisation had adversely affected each and every section of the society whether it’s farmers, general public or daily wagers and it would have serious dent on the economy as well. He said, the cash crunch would lead to less demand, which would reflect in poor production. Accompanying Irrigation and Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes, he said that the demonetisation drive is a management failure of Centre as no preparations were made beforehand.
