A group of miscreants manhandled a police team and also thrashed a Head Constable, when the team reached Sector 32 after receiving information about a disturbance, on Thursday mid-night.
Head Constable Sukhdev Singh along with a police team reached the spot where a group of boys started abusing and misbehaving with them and also thrashed Sukhdev Singh, who was later admitted to GMCH Sector 32. Surprisingly, the phone call about disturbance was also given by one of the accused, said Rajesh Shukla, SHO, PS Sector 34.
Police later arrested all the accused and identified them as Hemant Saini, Mohit Saini, Satpal Singh, residents of Sector 32 and Harpreet Singh, a resident of village Burail. During questioning, they admitted that Hemant had a love affair with a girl, who is MBA student and residing at Sector 32. The boys went to her residence as her father had objection to their love affair.
Father of the girl Anil alleged that Hemant had been calling on his daughter’s mobile and blackmailing her for long time by stating that he had objectionable videos and photos of his daughter, which he will misuse if the complainant does allow his daughter to meet Hemant. On Thursday, Hemant along with his friends visited his house and started abusing him and also pelted stones at his residence, added Anil when the incident took place.
