A day after Cabinet Minister Anil Vij threatened to resign over providing compensation to those killed during the Jat agitation, another Cabinet Minister Karan Dev Kamboj has expressed his displeasure over the handling of Jat agitation by the Manohar lal Khattar led State Government.

Haryana Food and Supplies Minister Karan Dev Kamboj on Tuesday expressed his displeasure over the fact that the Ministers were not consulted before taking decisions during the agitation which turned violent and resulted in hundreds of crores of loss and left 19 people dead.

A day before, Anil Vij, the Health Minister in the Manohar lal Khattar Government, had expressed his disapproval at the declaration of a compensation of Rs 10 lakh and government job to the next of the kin of those who were killed in the violence. The Jat agitation seems to have left the state Cabinet divided. Vij, who is a Punjabi, was irked that the announcement was made by his Cabinet Colleagues despite the fact that they had reached a consensus in the Cabinet Meeting it was not the right time do so.

The Minister was also not happy with the working of Cabinet Ministers OP Dhankar and Capt. Abhimanyu, who are Jats themselves, during the ongoing agitation by Jat community for demanding reservation in government jobs and educational institutions.Known for his outspoken views, Vij had argued that the Jat agitation seeking job quotas was still on and violence had not ended. He pointed out that most of those killed could be involved in rioting and they could not be compensated.

Haryana has witnessed large scale violence in the last ten days with rampaging mobs looting and setting shops on fire, burning government and private buildings and vehicles and clashing with security forces.
