Haryana Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh on Sunday said that a proposal has been prepared to construct a Rs240-crore bypass connecting Rewari-Narnaul and Rewari-Jhajjar roads.
The proposal has been submitted to the National Capital Region Planning Board for approval and work would start soon after it gets approved.
While addressing a gathering after inaugurating a ‘chaupal’ constructed at the cost of Rs15 lakh in the village of Nawada-Fatehpur in Gurgaon, he said that construction of the circular road in Rewari was underway.
Costing Rs10 crore, the project was started about a month ago and would be completed in the next five months.
More development works would be carried out in the State in keeping with people’s expectations.
The previous State Government had discriminated against southern Haryana, but the present Government would make up for it, he added.
