Taking advantage of the ongoing blame-game and simmering infighting in Opposition Congress, Haryana Minister of State for Mines and Geology, Naib Singh Saini on Wednesday demanded that the allegations — made by Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav, a Minister in the previous Congress Government, that Bhupinder Singh Hooda bought MlAs to become Chief Minister and made money by issuing Change of land Use (ClUs) — should be investigated.
While talking to the mediapersons here, Saini said Capt Yadav had been quoted by the electronic media saying that he was also in the race for the post of Chief Minister. But since he did not have enough money to indulge in horse-trading of MlAs, Hooda did so and became the Chief Minister.
Saini said that ClU had become a roaring business during the days of the previous government. Capt Yadav too confirmed this allegation by saying that the former Chief Minister had resorted to corruption in issuing ClUs.
“These serious allegations leveled by the former minister should be investigated”, he demanded.
All irregularities committed during the tenure of the previous government were being investigated one by one, be it the DlF Vadra issue, or the issue of allotment of industrial plots in Rohtak which has been set aside by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, or the issuance of ClUs, allegations about which had been made by two former finance ministers, he said.
