In the wake of the terror attack in Pathankot, a Tricity coordination meeting was held to discuss all aspects of security in and around Chandigarh.
Chaired by Vijay Kumar Dev, Advisor to the Administrator, UT, the meeting was attended by administrative and police officers of Mohali, Panchkula, Solan (Himachal), Air Force, Western Command, IB, CRPF, 3-BRD, TBRl and senior officers of Chandigarh Administration and police officers.
In the meeting, security deployment at the vital installations in the area of Chandigarh was discussed. Various suggestions from civil, Air Force and other agencies were made.
Besides, a crisis management plan of Chandigarh was also discussed in detail. The Advisor to the Administrator emphasised that all agencies need to work in a coordinated manner and coordinated team efforts needs to be done. He stressed on the implementation of coordinated pre-action and post action to ensure better security arrangements in and around Chandigarh.
