Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) authorities will organise two-day ‘Science Conclave’ for school students from February 22. This will be organised under the aegis of University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET).
Prof SP Khatkar, Director, UIET, informed that this Science Conclave would be organised to popularise science amongst school students. Students of Classes X, XI and XII from the Science stream can participate. About 1500 students will take part in the Conclave, informed the Director. Khatkar said that a Science Exhibition would also be organised in the conclave. Working models on themes like Solar Energy. Green Energy, Environmental Changes and its effects, etc. will be displayed in exhibition. Interested school can submit their entries for participation up to Feb 8, he added. Meanwhile, Women’s Studies Centre (WSC) of the university will organise one-day workshop on Workplace sexual harassment of women on Jan 24.
