President of Mauritius, Rajkeswur Purryag, alongwith his wife Anitah and a delegation visited Bhakra - Nangal Project. A.B. Agrawal, Chairman, BBMB was present to receive them at Satluj Sadan, Nangal.
He explained salient features of the Project to the visiting President. This was followed by a visit to the Panchisheel Hut, Nehru Centre, the Bhakra Dam and its power houses which the President saw with interest.
The President wondered at the massive contribution of the project to national economy and appreciated the efforts of Chairman, BBMB and his team for the upkeep and maintenance. The President also planted a Rudraksha tree at Satluj Sadan.
