Chandigarh Police has decided to honour Chandigarh Inspector late Sucha Singh with "martyr" status. A senior official of Chandigarh Police said, "The Police will honour late Sucha Singh with martyr status.
Meanwhile, all senior officials of UT Administration including KK Sharma, Adviser to the Administrator, Home Secretary Anil Kumar, Chandigarh Police IGP RP Upadhaya, DIG Alok Kumar, senior leaders of all political parties including, former Railway Minister and local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal and senior BJP leader Harmohan Dhawan and several representatives of resident welfare associations paid homage to the departed soul at cremation ground Sector 25 here on Sunday.
