Mann's beggar remark: BJP asks Kejriwal to rein in AAP MP

Taking serious note of AAP Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann's 'beggar remark', the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday asked AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister to rein in party's Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann.

Condemning Mann’s statement he made a day before during a press conference at Chandigarh, BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh said that an “arrogant” Mann has lost his mental balance and started insulting common people who were the beneficiaries of welfare schemes initiated by SAD-BJP Government.

“AAP MP has, by this way, insulted over 45 percent of the population of the state. It is painful as well as shameful that Mann called people 'beggars' and other senior leaders of his party didn't object to his utterances,” he said.

Terming Mann's statement as unfortunate, he said that a party which claims to represent the common man was insulting them for availing the benefits under the welfare schemes run by their own government.

Chugh said that there was nothing new in it and all the Governments have been initiating and implementing schemes for the welfare of common people as their commitment and the duty towards the weaker sections of the society.

Reminding people of Mann's blunder of visiting a ‘Gurmat Samagam’ in an inebriated state and his anti-national misadventure of making and uploading a video of the entire process and route to enter parliament, Chugh said that not only Bhagwant Mann, but the entire top AAP leadership has committed mistakes which were unpardonable.

He said that publishing photograph of Golden Temple on party's Youth Manifesto with a broom and comparing party's manifesto with Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Geeta and Bible were the most condemnable acts but the AAP has not learnt from its mistakes.
