Majithia dubs Kejriwal as 'Banarsi Thugg'

Dubbing Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal as ‘banarsi thugg’, Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Wednesday accused him of hatching conspiracies to destabilize the state’s hard-earned peace.

At the same time, he appealed the Punjabis to remain vigilant of such “banarsi thuggs” who are hell bent on to defame Punjabis with sole target of gaining power.

Majithia, addressing a thanksgiving rally organised by the people for making Majitha a sub-division, once again dared Kejriwal to come forward for day-to-day hearing in the defamation case field by him in the Amritsar court.

“Kejriwal and his aides are a gang of liars who have a habit of making false accusations for getting news coverage but when brought to the Court, they are gone desperate for early bail…Punjabis have given a befitting reply to Kejriwal on the day of hearing by thronging in large numbers, and compelled him to retire to hills to recover from this illness,” he quipped.

Majithia said that Kejriwal and his aides does not have any knowledge about the culture and problems being faced by the Punjabis and they don’t have any sympathy with the farmers, traders and other segments of the society in Punjab.

“Kejriwal has one point agenda — to gain power in Punjab by making fake promises as well as playing divisive politics...AAP’s  destructive politics is aimed to disturb peace of the state but the brave Punjabis are fully aware of such tactics and will teach a lesson of life to this ‘hit and run’ party,” said Majitia.

He said that the SAD-BJP will not let anyone disturb hard earned peace of the state and would fight elections on the sole agenda of development and form government for the third consecutive term.

Commenting on the day-by-day decreasing graph of Congress in Punjab, Majithia said that due to fear of humiliating defeat in coming elections, one of the senior Congress leaders of Majitha was eager to join another political party.
