Majithia demands Kejriwal's resignation for taking bribes

Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Friday demanded immediate resignation of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal for taking bribes from prospective party candidates in Punjab besides abetting suicide of AAP’s woman activist who was sexually molested by a senior leader.

Majithia, interacting with few newsmen after a meeting of the Youth Akali Dal (YAD), said that now it had been proved that Kejriwal’s “dalals” from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh had collected money on his behalf.

“This is revealed from the fact that no receipt was issued for crores collected from ticket seekers who were told the money was for the party. As Kejriwal runs the party, it is clear that he alone is the direct beneficiary of this money collection drive,” he said.

Stating that the recent disclosures by AAP leader Hardeep Singh Kingra and others had thoroughly exposed Kejriwal, he said that disclosures had also proved that filth in AAP was all-encompassing.

“Outsiders like Durgesh Pathak and Ashutosh came to Punjab with the sole purpose of collecting money. No action has been taken against them despite disclosures even while prompt action was taken against party Punjab Convener Suchha Singh Chhotepur,” he added.

SAD leader said that rot in AAP was not limited to money collection only. “The party has sold its conscience to the devil and is even encouraging moral turpitude. This was proved from the fact that Kejriwal did not take action against his minister Sandeep Kumar despite being handed the sex tapes of the Minister 20 days back,” he said.

Stating that Kejriwal was not only sitting over a mound of filth but also providing protection to all the wrong-doers in his party by not taking any action against them, Majithia said that the only way to cleanse AAP of the filth that had stained it was Kejriwal’s resignation.
