Majithia asks YAD to go into poll mode

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Tuesday gave a clarion call to its youth brigade to go into poll mode to spell the end of UPA rule in the country, months before 2014 parliamentary elections.

Youth Akal Dal (YAD) president and State Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia, addressing the party cadre at the party head office, directed them to fan out across the State to spread the pro-people development policies of the SAD-BJP Government. At the same time, Majithia made it clear that party president Sukhbir Badal was committed to give due representation to the youth in every elected body of the State.

“I along with Sukhbir Badal is keeping a vigil on the performance of each office bearer of YAD and that performers would be suitably rewarded. Non performers will have to make way for new faces,” Majithia indicated. He also instructed the district presidents to hold regular meetings with the party cadre in order to infuse even more strength in the YAD at the grass root level.
