loP lambastes at Cong, SAD for indulging in communal politics

leader of Opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Sukhpal Singh Khaira on Sunday lambasted the Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for indulging in communal politics and doing politics on the dead bodies of the people of the State to get power.

“In view of the facts revealed in the primary police investigation in Maur bomb blast, the involvement of Congress and Akali leaders has clearly come to the light,” said Khaira, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MlA from Bholath.

He said the investigation has revealed that the vehicle used in the bomb blast was modified in Dera Sirsa and the whole exercise was done to defame AAP and to misguide the people of the state. “The politically-motivated allegations of Congress-Akali leaders on AAP after the blast show that it was pre-planned act to show the blast as architect of AAP with the help of hardliners,” he added.

Khaira said the Congress and the Akali leaders have always tried to disturb the social fabric of state to gain cheap political mileage and the same policy was mischievously executed during the recently concluded Vidhan Sabha elections. “Maur bomb blast investigation has revealed the true anti-people face of Congress and SAD,” he said.

“Both parties have been involved in religious and communal politics for years and their leaders visited Dera Sacha Sauda multiple times during the elections. Fearing their defeat in Vidhan Sabha elections, both parties had collided to create panic amongst the urban voters of the state and their crafty policy tilted the scales in their favour at the eleventh hour,” he said.

Khaira said it is the “cheapest form of politics” where traditional political parties and leaders of Punjab do not hesitate to play cheap politics over dead bodies of their own people.

“AAP is a secular party that respects every religion equally,” he said while asking both Congress and Akali Dal to tender a public apology for misleading the voters of Punjab by making maliciously false allegations against AAP to win the elections.
