Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal on Monday "called off" his meeting with the Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit scheduled for July 29 in "view of Monday's incident at Dina Nagar in Gurdaspur.
Advisor to CM on National Affairs and Media Harcharan Bains said Basit had requested for a courtesy call on meeting with the CM. Basit was scheduled to visit Chandigarh from July 29 to August 1.
