Most parts of the region continued with overcast conditions with maximum temperature hovering below normal levels on Friday.
The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours. Earlier, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in some parts of the region during past 72 hours.
Chandigarh on Friday recorded maximum temperature of 32 degree Celsius, one degree below normal while minimum temperature of 26.7 degrees was recorded.
Shimla, the capital city of Himachal recorded 4 mm rainfall till evening and settled at a maximum temperature of 20.5 degree Celsius while a low of 16.3 degree Celsius was recorded.
