Law and order collapses alarmingly in Punjab, says Chugh

Published on:

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Monday said that the law and order situation in Punjab has touched its lowest and an alarming level under the AAP government as criminals are having a free run around the state.  In a statement, he said the escape of notorious gangster Deepak Tinu from the police custody in Mansa demonstrated that the police is hand in glove with gangsters and the entire drama of fighting against gangsters being enacted by the AAP government was a hoax. Chugh said in a similar shocking incident drug smuggler Amrik Singh, who was facing about a dozen drug smuggling related cases, escaped from the custody of the jail staff in Patiala. Both the incidents have once again established that the AAP government has completely collapsed in maintaining law and order in the state and as this is happening in a border state where Pakistan has been keeping a close eye Chugh demanded that the Centre should call for a report on law and order in Punjab from the state government.
