BJP, INlD flay Cong Govt for giving little time

The Monsoon session of Haryana Assembly which would be the last session of the current Assembly, would start from July 11.

The Opposition BJP and Indian National lok Dal slammed the Congress for calling the House session  on short notice.  BJP legislature party leader Anil Vij said that though it is “farewell” session for the ruling Congress Government, yet it should have called a Cabinet meeting first and then announced the date of monsoon session.

“The ruling Congress Government intentionally called this session on short notice so that the Opposition parties do not get time to decide their issues for discussion in the House”, said Vij.

INlD State president Ashok Arora also blamed ruling Congress and added that usually, the State Government should give at least 15-day time to the Opposition parties to prepare their list of issues to be discussed in the Assembly.

“Now, when the Government all of sudden has announced the session, how would we be able to make strategy in such short notice”, said Arora.

While, the Haryana BJP demanded more time for the session to discuss all the pending issues in the House, INlD called a  meeting of all its MlAs on July 4 to prepare its strategy for the upcoming session.

Sources said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda may give nod for constituting the controversial Haryana Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee which is expected to be announced in the Sikh convention at Kaithal on July 6.

Jagdish Singh Jhinda, president of Adhoc committee for proposed HSGPC was also optimistic about the formation of HSGPC in the  monsoon session. He said the State Government had given assurance to the Sikh community.
