A land slide near Shimla on Friday blocked the vehicular traffic creating hurdles for apple crop being transported out of the State.
The land slide on Hatkoti-Kharapathar near Doachi area blocked the traffic movement for almost the entire day as the debris on the road could not be cleared till evening.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Rohan Chand Thakur said that efforts were on to clear the road on war footing. SDM Rohru, Ghanshyam Sharma looking after the restoration work on the spot, said that the vehicular movement of traffic would be resumed soon. He said that vehicular traffic had been diverted on alternate road through Padsari-Kharapather road.
Meanwhile weather was mainly dry in the State and there was no report of rain or snowfall few places in the state. This capital town Shimla received light rains after noon however it was mainly dry for last three days.
Maximum temperature and humidity levels in Shimla rose as the temperature went past 25 degrees on Friday.
