Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Saturday said the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway would  be inaugurated soon after completion of the construction work in June this year.

Speaking at a programme here, he said the construction work on KMP should have been completed in 2010. The present state government had, soon after coming to power, restarted work on the expressway and now it is nearing completion.

The state government has carried out construction and repair work on 17,000 km length of roads at the cost of Rs 7,000 crore. A logistic hub is proposed to be set up in Haryana. Apart from different universities, medical colleges are also being established in the state.

"The growth rate of Haryana is higher than the country’s growth rate and the state is logging rapid growth. We started IT-enabled systems which have resulted in transparency and accountability. This has helped in putting a check on corruption”, Manohar lal said.

He said the present state government has completed three-and-a-half years whereas the Central Government under the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has completed four years. The BJP Government has changed the systems with technical support, he added.
