Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi on Tuesday visited a drug deaddiction centre at local Government medical college here. Talking to the media, she said the society should come forward and engage itself in campaign for eradicating drug addiction from the State.
She suggested the centre’s officials to involve intellectuals from universities and doctors in their efforts to make the State drug-free. Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal this year had invited Bedi to put her views on tackling the problem of drug abuse and trafficking in the state for an early resolution of the malady.
