Kingra playing in hands of Opp parties to fail 'Mission Punjab': Mann

Published on:

Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday dismissed the allegations made by its former leader Hardip Singh Kingra saying that he is leveling “bogus” allegations against the party on the direction of opposition parties.

“The agenda of Kingra is to defame the party for personal reasons,” said party’s Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann. He said that Kingra joined AAP to get MlA ticket and failing in getting that, he was now speaking against the party.

“AAP’s mission is to root out corruption from Punjab and people of State have absolute faith in the policies of AAP. People of the State will never trust such ‘black sheep’ trying to derail the process of revolution,” he said. Mann said that the party will definitely look into the allegations raised by Kingra as AAP stands by its commitment of ‘zero tolerance’ against corruption.

“The party will investigate alleged audio tape released by Kingra. In case anything wrong is found, the suitable action will be taken against the people responsible. The party will also ask Amrish Trikha to clear his stand on the alleged audio tape,” he said.

Maintaining that the allegations made by Kingra are baseless and false, party’s Fund Raising Committee member Surinder Singh Arora said that a case of defamation will be filed against Kingra in this regard. He said that he has all the details of funds raised for the party.
