After coming out in support of whistleblower IAS officer Ashok Khemka following his 46th transfer on Wednesday, Haryana Health Minister on Friday was seen defending the State Government saying that it was an administrative matter, however, he is ready to welcome Khemka in the Health Department. Talking to the mediapersons at Kurukshetra on Friday, Vij said that it was an administrative matter but Khemka would be welcomed if sent to the Health Department.

Vij on Friday also posted on Twitter, old news of his protest for reinstatement of Ashok Khemka transfer during the Congress regime in Haryana. Reacting on the issue of transfer of Khemka, the Minister had a day before said that he would take up the transfer issue with Chief Minister. Barely four months after the BJP came to power in the state, Khemka was transferred on Wednesday late evening to low profile Archaeology and Museums Department. Khemka was holding charge as Transport Commissioner and Secretary, Transport Department and has now been posted as Secretary and Director General in the Archaeology and Museums Department, a posting that is considered defunct among bureaucratic circles. The IAS officer is transferred for the 46th time in his 24 years bureaucratic career.
