As BJP chief Amit Shah began his three-day Haryana visit on Wednesday, Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar decided to venture out in Rohtak town to get a feedback from the people, especially youth, about the perception of his BJP Government in the state.
Sans any security, the Chief Minister, seated in a Toyota Innova multi-purpose vehicle, arrived at the Sports Complex in Rohtak on Wednesday morning, without any prior information and interacted with the youth practising there.
“Keen on having his fingers on the pulse of the people and getting first-hand feedback, Chief Minister spent quality time interacting with the youth and taking their opinion and suggestions on good Governance," said an official spokesman.
The Chief Minister sought first-hand information about how they feel about various policies and programmes of the State Government and how are these benefiting them. He also sought suggestions on rural development and other issues, said the spokesman.
Khattar is the first Chief Minister who came to meet us without any security, said one of the youth.
The youth told the Chief Minister that the state's policy on sports is encouraging them in the field.
The State of Haryana, has, in recent years, churned out international-level players in the fields of boxing, wrestling, athletics, cricket, hockey and others.
After meeting the youth, the Chief Minister said, “I went out for a round in the morning and was not accompanied by any security guard. I met some people and I talked to them on developmental issues pertaining to the state. I gathered their feedback on a range of issues and about what they thought about our Government.”Manohar lal said that he is happy to know from the public that various citizen delivery services, which we are trying to give in a transparent manner, were reaching them without any hassle. Khattar said he also met some young sportspersons.
The Chief Minister added that there was enthusiasm among the people in view of Amit Shah’s visit to the State.
