Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar will preside over the first meeting of the State level Swarna Jayanti Celebrations Committee at Red Bishop Tourist Complex, Panchkula on Tuesday to deliberate as to how the Swarna Jayanti celebrations are to be organised.
A Government spokesman on Monday said the Swarna Jayanti celebrations would begin with a mega function to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gurgaon on November 1.
Haryana is completing 50 years of its existence on November 1 and the State Government has decided to celebrate the Swarna Jayanti Year from November 1, 2016, to October 31, 2017, to showcase the glorious past of the land of Vedas, Gita and Upnishads and project a line-up of dreams, the people of Haryana have cherished since long.
later on, the Chief Secretary DS Dhesi will preside over a meeting of all the Administrative Secretaries, Commissioners of all the four Divisions of Ambala, Gurgaon, Hisar and Rohtak and all the Deputy Commissioners to discuss the issued related to the celebrations at Red Bishop Tourist Complex, Panchkula the same day.
