Khanna to be separate DCC

All India Congress Committee (AICC) has approved Khanna to be separate District Congress Committee (DCC) which was earlier part of DCC ludhiana (Rural) lakhbir Singh lakha has been appointed first president of DCC Khanna while Harinder Singh Bhambri will be president of DCC Fatehgarh Sahib.

AICC general secretary Shakeel Ahmad has approved the proposal for separate DCC mooted by PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa. Now, the Assembly segments of Khanna, Samrala and Payal will be part of DCC Khanna, while five assembly segments of Dakha, Gill, Jagraon, Raikot and Sahnewal would remain the part of DCC ludhiana (Rural).
