Sacked unceremoniously, Khaira maintained that he would make every possible effort to bring third alternative in the Punjab politics.
Referring to Manpreet Badal’s People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) and AAP, Khaira said that these two attempt to achieve third alternative did not work, but the people of Punjab are still looking for the third alternative, and I would bring such an alternative.
He said that he would initiate volunteer’s contact programme on Saturday from Maur. He welcomed all the party volunteers and officer-bearers for Bathinda’s convention.
Khaira said that he had paid the price of speaking the “truth”. “Some sections within the party were conspiring against me since I was appointed as the leader of Opposition. And demanding my resignation after Faridkot court summons in a drug case was the first manifestation of such a conspiracy,” he said.
He said that his statement about injustices meted out to Punjab and Sikhs were deliberately twisted to rake up a controversy and hatch another alleged conspiracy against him.
